Purdy has decided to kick off 2019 with her amazing band of musicians who toured with Purdy when she supported Jools Holland and accompany her regularly at the 606 club in London.
This Is a chance to see and hear the songs that launched Purdy’s career and hear songs from her exciting forthcoming album plus some rousing classics. There is wonderful connection with these players that adds a magical personal touch to the show and gets right to the heart of the audience.
You’ll be astounded by the musicianship, electricity and vocal prowess of her much adored players. Introducing Jamie McCredie on guitar, Tom Moore on double bass, Tim Sentance On piano and sax & Dan Western on drums. Can’t wait for you to join us!
ABOUT PURDY
Purdy launched her debut album 'Diamond in the Dust' in 2016 on a UK tour supporting Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra - including a finale show at the Royal Albert Hall, which gave rise to sensational reviews.
As a singer/songwriter, Purdy creates alongside grammy award winning producer Andy Wright, famed for his records with Imelda May, Chrissie Hynde, Simple Minds and Simply Red And has almost completed her second album due for release early next year!
Often referred to as 'pop noir' with unmistakable Jazz undertones, Purdy’s distinctive sultry stylings and songwriting skills have led to collaborations with Jamiroquai’s Matt Johnson and Ian Barter (Amy Winehouse). Purdy's latest singles have been championed by Radio 2, BBC 6 music and BBC London.
Combining her own unique style with nuances of Nina Simone, Nancy Sinatra, Peggy Lee and Henry Mancini, Purdy offers playful swagger with hugely entertaining onstage appeal.
With her popularity continuing to grow, Purdy has performed to 90,000 people at Wembley, guested on The Royal Variety Show, performed with Jamie Cullum at BBC Radio 2's Cheltenham Festival, played packed houses at London’s premier venues, Formula 1 events and The London Lifestyle Awards. Purdy also performed as a guest singer on Richard Branson’s Necker Island opening for Lana Del Rey.
SET-UP
Tickets are all seated, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. However, for parties of 7 of more, we can reserve seats to ensure you are on the same table. Please email mail@purdymusic.co.uk to request this after booking and we will do our best to accommodate.
We will be serving drinks from the bar, which will also well stocked with prosecco, wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks.
